Sustainability certification requirements<\/h1>\n

1. The raw material with the IBERLAND GREEN sustainability certification will always be a consequence of the fishery, never the objective.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This requirement is related to the optimization of marine resources through the most efficient technological processes possible to achieve a complete management of catches, with a clear impact on the preservation of marine species and ecosystems, as advocated by SDG 14 of the UN Agenda 2030. Value-added products, such as fillets, portions, loins, claws, tails, etc. are the usual targets for catches due to market demand. During the respective manufacturing processes, a very significant amount of raw material is generated, which we manage properly to give a second life to marine resources.<\/p>\n

2. Origin and Process. The obtaining of our raw materials will be in accordance with the regulations in force in terms of methods, tools used, social and environmental responsibility. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The product will be obtained on the basis of the regulations in force during the whole industrial process of elaboration. Illegal and undeclared fishing and destructive fishing practices are totally rejected. The effective regulation of marine resources, discards and the valorization of raw materials resulting from any industrial manufacturing process is defended.<\/p>\n

3. Ecological Footprint. Minimize associated costs. <\/strong>
\nThe ecological footprint of the Iberland Green product will comply with the premise of generating the smallest ecological footprint possible. The benefit of contributing to the use of the resource and minimizing the ecological footprint externalities to the maximum. The impact of the ecological footprint associated with the production of any Iberland Green certified sustainable product will always be lower compared to the ecological footprint related to the production of the same product conceptually considered as “target”, regardless of the economic cost generated in each case, which is usually proportional to the ecological footprint generated and therefore to the natural resources used.<\/p>\n

4. Production plants. They must be certified by recognized quality standards and Iberland Group criteria. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\nUnlike other raw materials in the food industry, obtaining our raw materials with the IBERLAND GREEN seal does not imply an additional cost for them to be qualified as sustainable. The efficiency of the processes of generation of our IBERLAND GREEN raw materials, allows very competitive cost levels compared to value-added products, allowing the industrial-food sector its use and application for any kind of elaboration at lower prices than usual.
\nSustainable products at a lower price with the highest quality. 7. Socially affordable.<\/strong>
\nThe competitiveness derived from IBERLAND GREEN products, allow from the development of new culinary creations to provide a solution to regular and affordable products for any purchasing power. From a nutritional perspective, IBERLAND Group supplies raw materials that allow the elaboration of food products to meet the basic needs of any society. Better nutrition implies very positive inclusive consequences such as socialization, integration and overall improvement of living standards, ultimately favoring the advancement of any society. Environmental sustainability.<\/strong>
\n8.1. Reduction of catch pressure.
\nThe IBERLAND GREEN concept favors the reduction of catches in extractive fishing and farming volumes in fish farms, avoiding overexploitation and allowing the recovery of the respective marine ecosystems. 8.2. Reduction of surpluses.
\nThe better optimization of materials implies a reduction of surpluses resulting from the fish processing industry.<\/p>\n

The DNA of our products under IBERLAND GREEN certification is in essence, the preservation of marine resources, their biological diversity and that together with their optimal and responsible global management we can continue to enjoy them in the future.
